  2. Metallurgy of nonferrous metals
  3. Metallurgy of less-common and precious metals
  4. Casting production
  5. Metal forming
  6. Materials science and heat treatment
  7. Powder materials and coatings
  8. Structural macrokinetics. Self-propagating high-temperature synthesis
  9. Surface engineering. Multifunctional films. Corrosion and metal protection

Article text of no more than 15 printed pages in length (A4 format) including illustrations, tables, etc. in two copies with legible and bright color print should be typed with 14th body size, double spaced, with the help of computer, leaving a blank space of 25–30 mm wide on the both sides of a page. It is necessary to attach an electronic carrier with the text and figures (text in Word or RTF formats; figures as separate files in CDR, TIF, JPEG formats) to the hard copy (if the article has been sent not by e-mail). An article begins with the title under which authors' initials and names should be typed. The full name of the organization(s) where the work has been executed should be given below. On the left, above the title, the UDC code must be given. Each article should contain numbered Conclusions or brief Summary. The International System of Units (SI) must be used unconditionally. Formulas and letterings should be thoroughly checked by the author who bears the whole responsibility for them. Tables should have subject headings and be numbered in sequence. The text should contain the references to all the Tables.

Illustrations: drawings in lines (plots, schematic views, etc.) and photographs should be made in electronic format of CDR, TIF, JPEG. Their location inside the text is permitted. Picture captions should be under each drawing. Photographs may be submitted on glazed photographic paper with obligatory indication of the scale of structure magnification. The dimensions of a photograph should be chosen in view of the fact that it has the same dimensions in the journal. The marks of "top" and "bottom" should be written on the back of each photograph.

Abstract to the article on a separate sheet in two copies up to 0.5-typewriter page (15 lines with double space) should comprise the specific data for the subject and the investigation conditions (studied substances and processes; concentration, temperature, pressure, and size ranges, etc.), investigation methods, and the results of prime importance. All abstracts in the journal will be published in the Russian and English languages; thereby it is desirable to receive the specific terms and expressions, used in the abstract, in English from the author of the article. Key words are indicated necessarily for speeding up the article in the Internet.

References. The list of bibliography should contain the sources of materials, which were used by the author in writing the article, and should be processed in accordance with GOST R7.0.5-2008. References in the text should be taken in square brackets: [1] or [2-5], for example. The numeration of sources should be in line with the order of the references in the text. The references to unpublished papers are inadmissible. The list of bibliography should comprise: for books – names and initials of all authors, the title of the book, city, publishing house, publication year, volume (in case of reference to a separate article, its first page number should be given); for journal articles – names and initials of all authors, the title of the journal (without the title of the article), publication year, volume, number (issue), and first page number of the article; for conference materials – names and initials of all authors, the title of the article, the title of the edition, date and place of the conference, city, publishing house, publication year, and first page number of the article.
